THUNDER BAY - A man is charged with a number of drug related offences after attempting to evade police.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers attempted to pull the man over Thursday morning for speeding on James Street South when he slowed down and subsequently sped away.
Officers found the vehicle turning into the driveway of a southside address and arrested the driver without incident.
A search of the vehicle found 478 grams of marijuana and 382 grams of marijuana resin, which have a combined street value of about $17,000. There was also more than $4,200 in cash seized from the vehicle.
The man is charged with flight from police, possession for purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime and failure to comply with an undertaking.
