Man facing attempted murder charge in Dufferin Street incident

THUNDER BAY - A man is facing an attempted murder charge after a woman was found unresponsive in a north side apartment earlier this week.

In a media release issued on Wednesday, Thunder Bay Police Service said 25-year-old Peter Keeash has been charged with attempted murder, two counts of uttering death threats, and forcible confinement.

The incident took place just before 9 p.m. Monday night when Police were called to an apartment building on the 300 block of Dufferin Street.

A woman was found unresponsive inside an apartment and transported to hospital with what police said were serious injuries.

Keeash has been remanded into custody with a future court date.
