Thunder Bay Police Service officers received reports of a house fire in the 1200 block of Arthur Street at about 3:15 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27.

Shortly after officers arrived they observed a male on the roof of the home. The house was fully engulfed at this point. Moments later the male was able to get onto the garage, which was detached from the burning home, and eventually made it to safety.
