Ministry of Labour officials are investigating the death of a man following an incident on a Canadian Pacific rail line.
Nipigon detachment OPP reports that officers responded to an industrial incident that took place on the rail line west of Pays Plat First Nation, near the shores of Lake Superior.
An employee of a subcontractor was critically injured when they fell from a piece of equipment they were operating.
Representatives from Canadian Pacific Police, Canada Labour, Ontario Ministry of Labour and Ministry of the Evironment are being assisted by the Nipigon OPP in the investigation.
The deceased has been identified as Keith Gudmundson of South Gillies Township.
No other information is available at this time. The investigation continues.
