Man robs Mr. Sub at knifepoint

Police are looking for a man who robbed a Mr. Sub at knifepoint and possibly injured a restaurant employee in the process. Thunder Bay Police Service officers say they are looking for the man who robbed the Mr.
Police are looking for a man who robbed a Mr. Sub at knifepoint and possibly injured a restaurant employee in the process.

Thunder Bay Police Service officers say they are looking for the man who robbed the Mr. Sub at 209 Red River Road just after 8 p.m. Monday. Police say the suspect was armed with a knife when he jumped over the counter and robbed the fast food restaurant.

A store employee was allegedly injured as a result of the altercation. The victim was taken to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the suspect fled the restaurant with an undisclosed amount of cash and headed eastbound on Cumberland Street. The person is believed to have been in the store earlier and may be a regular in the neighbourhood around Red River Road and Cumberland Street.

Police describe the suspect as a Caucasian man in his mid 20s, standing about six-feet tall.

The suspect wore a blue, white and black track jacket, black hoodie and possibly a black bandana over his face, beige long pants and black shoes during the robbery.
