Man sent to hospital after being struck by train

A man is in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after being struck by a train early Thursday morning.

THUNDER BAY -- A 22-year-old man was rushed to the hospital early Thursday morning after being struck by a train.

The incident took place in the vicinity of 40 North Water Street around 4:20 a.m.

Police, in a release, said the man sustained what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.

This incident is now under investigation by CP Police.
