Man sent to hospital following early morning north side incident

Major crimes unit is investigating the incident, which took place near Camelot and St. Paul streets.

THUNDER BAY -- City police are investigating an incident that landed one person in hospital.

In a release issued on Sunday morning, police say they were called to the area near Camelot and St. Paul streets, just after 2:30 a.m., where an injured male was located and taken to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre for treatment of his injuries.

Police have not indicated the nature of the injuries, but did say the major crimes unit is involved in the ongoing investigation. The identity of the victim has not been released.
