Man sent to hospital following vicious Saturday assault (UPDATE)

THUNDER BAY – A 49-year-old man has been arrested and charged for aggravated assault following an altercation at a north-side home Friday.

THUNDER BAY – A 49-year-old man has been arrested and charged for aggravated assault following an altercation at a north-side home Friday.

Thunder Bay Police Service officials say officers were called to the scene in the 200 block of Tupper Street just before 3 p.m. on Sept. 26.

Police say a 33-year-old male victim was taken to the hospital. He is said to have sustained various injuries from an alleged attack.

The victim's injuries required treatment at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.

The accused was arrested at the scene.

Christopher Neal Osmar, 49, of Thunder Bay, has been charged with aggravated assault. He was scheduled to appear in court Monday.
