Officers with the Greenstone detachment of the OPP are investigating a shooting incident that took place Monday night in the small community near the Pamela Lake area.
It happened just before 8:30 p.m., when a man wearing a ski mask and dark clothing and carrying a long-gun approached a home.
He encountered a resident outside and after a brief exchange a shot was fired, striking the victim in the leg.
The assailant then ran off toward a nearby bush road.
The victim was able to call police and is being treated in hospital.
