A head-on collision Thursday near Terrace Bay has left one man in hospital with serious injuries.
OPP say the crash occurred around 10 a.m. in a construction zone east of the community.
Police, fire and paramedic personnel were all involved in pulling a trapped man from his smoking vehicle.
He was transported to hospital in Thunder Bay with what are described as life-threatening injuries.
The collision forced the closure of Highway 17 for about two hours.
