Man taken to hospital after crash with tractor trailer

THUNDER BAY – A 30-year-old man is in hospital with significant but non-life threatening injuries after running his pickup truck into the back of a turning transport. The Thunder Bay Police Service says the crash happened around 11:30 a.m.

THUNDER BAY – A 30-year-old man is in hospital with significant but non-life threatening injuries after running his pickup truck into the back of a turning transport.

The Thunder Bay Police Service says the crash happened around 11:30 a.m. Thursday morning on West Arthur Street near the Twin City Crossroads.

The pickup truck driver was removed from the vehicle and taken to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. Police describe the truck as being demolished.

The 58-year-old driver of the tractor trailer was not injured with the trailer only sustaining minor damage.

The investigation is ongoing and officers are looking to speak with witnesses.
