THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police say a man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries from a suspected afternoon assault on Monday.
According to Thunder Bay Police Service, officers were dispatched on Monday around 4:45 p.m. to the 1400 block of Brown Street following reports of a possibly injured male in the area.
When police arrived they located an injured 47-year-old man.
Police say his injuries appeared to be the result of a recent assault.
An investigation revealed the initial incident took place inside an apartment in the 200 block of Amelia Street.
The 47-year-old was transported to hospital for further evaluation and treatment of his injuries.
Members of the Major Crimes Unit are now involved in the investigation.
This investigation remains ongoing.
