A 46-year-old-man spent the rest of his Christmas in the hospital after the snowmobile he was on crashed.

Thunder Bay Police Service officers, firefighters and an ambulance responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Dawson Road near Hazelwood Drive just before 5 p.m. Sunday.

Paramedics took the man to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre for non-life threatening injuries. Police say alcohol was not involved and appeared to be a result from a driving error.

Police would like to remind everyone to use caution when operating sports machinery and drive according to conditions.
