The province's Special Investigations Unit has now released the name of the man who fell to his death at Kakabeka Falls last Wednesday afternoon.
He's been identified as Kurtis McVittie, 23, of Huntsville, Ont. Thunder Bay OPP released few details about the incident.
Officials with the SIU say McVittie had an interaction with one or more OPP officers before he somehow fell into the canyon at the falls and died soon after.
SIU spokesperson Frank Phillips says they're still working to determine if there was any fault on behalf of the police.
Phillips added that the SIU is still asking anyone else who may have witnessed the incident or has audio or video recordings of it to come forward and contact their lead investigator.
