Police arrested a man after he allegedly pointed a gun at a house Wednesday afternoon.
Thunder Bay detachment OPP officers report that a man pointed a rifle at a Gorham Township home just after 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Officers responding had also been advised about a call the OPP received, which reported that two women were being held against their will by a man armed with a gun.
Both women escaped and were in a safe place by the time police arrived on scene. Police say after further investigation officers learned that the women were not being held against their will, but were at the residence willingly and had been consuming alcohol.
The male suspect with the firearm was arrested without incident.
A 42-year-old Gorham Township man now faces numerous charges including two counts of pointing a firearm, two counts of assault, unauthorized possession of a firearm and two counts of careless use of a firearm.
