Manitouwadge man died in Highway 17 collision

WHITE RIVER, ON — Ontario Provincial Police have released the name of the man who died last weekend when he was struck by a transport truck outside White River.

He was 32-year-old David Oak of Manitouwadge.

Police say the collision occurred as Oak was walking on Highway 17 at about 2:30 a.m. on May 25.

OPP are asking any motorists who were travelling south of White River between 1:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. that day to contact them, as they may have information that is helpful to investigators.
