Manitouwadge OPP investigate break and enter

Police investigate a break and enter in Manitouwadge.

MANITOUWADGE – OPP are asking for the public’s help as they investigate a break and enter at a residence in Manitouwadge.

According to an Ontario Provincial Police release, sometime over the night of Aug. 27 from 8:30 p.m. to Aug. 28 at 8:30 a.m. unknown party(s) kicked open the rear door of a residence on Wenonah Drive and stole several items.

These items include 24 cans of Coors Light, bottle of Jack Daniels, a bottle of Kahlua, a wallet containing cash, person ID, bank cards, two Oakville golf tournament rings and a box containing a collection of vintage and collector coins, silver bars, and silver and gold coins.

Police say the home owner was away for the night and had his doors locked and some lights on in the residence.

The home owner noticed that someone had entered the residence when he returned in the morning and discovered his living room over turned.

He later discovered the rear door had been kicked in breaking the door jam and dead bolt.
