Police have closed off a section of Highway 17 near Williams Mine as they continue to search for two suspects in a possible stolen vehicle investigation.
OPP said in a media release Monday that a vehicle was stopped in the area of Williams Mine just east of Marathon. One suspect was arrested, while two others fled from the scene. The section of Highway 17 at WIlliams Mine is closed in both directions as police search for the two at large suspects.
Police describe both men as Caucasian, wearing baseball hats. One of the suspects was wearing a black hoodie and shorts while the other had a black shirt on.
Police are advising motorists not to pick up any hitchhikers in the area.
