MARATHON —Charges against a Marathon resident related to child pornography, according to Ontario Provincial Police, were withdrawn in July 2024.
According to an April 2021 police release, an investigation resulted in the arrest of a 27-year-old from Marathon.
The charges against the accused included adult sexual interference, adult possession of child pornography, distributing sexually explicit material to a person under 16 years of age, and luring a person under 16 years of age by means of telecommunication, according to police at the time of the arrest.
