Mauro nomination scheduled for Monday

THUNDER BAY – Longtime Liberal MPP and cabinet minister Bill Mauro will seek a fifth term at Queen’s Park in the June 7 provincial election. 

Mauro, 61, on Friday announced he’ll be holding his Thunder Bay-Atikokan nomination meeting on Monday night at the Da Vinci Centre.

First elected in 2003 after serving time on Thunder Bay city council, Mauro is currently the Minister Municipal Affairs in the Kathleen Wynne government.

Brandon Postuma and Moe Comuzzi are in the running for the Progressive Conservative nomination, while Judith Monteith-Farrell is the lone contestant seeking the NDP nod.
