THUNDER BAY – A section of May Street will be closed southbound Monday and Tuesday for storm sewer construction.
The street is set to close southbound between Northern Avenue and Southern Avenue, while one lane of northbound traffic will remain open. The city warns that only northbound turning traffic from Southern Avenue will be permitted.
A detour will direct motorists to use Northern Avenue, Vickers Street, and Dease Street during construction.
Local access to the nearby Dairy Queen will remain available.
The city asks motorists to drive carefully in the area and obey all posted signage.
