A mayoral candidate was escorted out of city hall during the city clerk’s electronic vote tabulator demonstration Friday.

Henry Wojak was one of seven municipal candidates at the demonstration, arriving while the demonstration was already in progress.

He asked city clerk John Hannam if he could start over and the clerk said no.

Wojak, who is currently banned from attending city hall, was allowed to attend the demonstration with a security escort. After making a couple of comments and asking questions during the demonstration, Hannam warned Wojak he would be asked to leave if he kept making comments during the demonstration.

The next time Wojak interrupted the clerk, security was asked to escort the mayoral candidate away.

Hannam sent an email to Wojak earlier Friday morning prior to the voting demonstration, stating Wojak was allowed to attend the presentation with a security escort, but that the city clerk had enough of the emails being sent to him the past few weeks. The emails in question sent from Wojak referred to the clerk and city administration as being members of the Nazi party, the Stasi and the NSA.

Hannam demanded an apology for being referred to as “Himmler,” which he said was defamatory, grossly insulting and deeply offensive.

Wojak filed a complaint with the city manager Friday afternoon about the incident at the tabulator presentation stating he was kicked out for asking questions.
