McCarville finds win column at Grand Slam event

GRAND PRAIRIE, Alta. -- Thunder Bay's Krista McCarville foursome picked up their first win of the week on Thursday evening at the Hearing Life Tour Challenge in Grand Prairie, Alta. 

McCarville (1-2) scored a 7-4 win over Denmark's Madeline Dupont. 

The 2022 Scotties Tournament of Hearts runners up opened with a deuce in the second and picked up three more in the fourth, erasing a 3-2 deficit at the time. Up 5-4, the Northern Ontario rink scored a single in the sixth and stole another in the seventh to put the match away. 

McCarville, Sarah Potts, Ashley Sippala and Sudbury's Kendra Lilly are tied for 10th in the Tier 2 side of the Grand Slam of Curling event. They take on Edmonton's Selena Sturmay (0-3) on Friday night.
