MNR seeks public's assistance in case of shot moose

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is seeking the public’s help in identifying the individuals responsible for shooting a cow moose and leaving the carcass behind.

On October 31, 2016, conservation officers found a cow moose north of Sioux Lookout, on the Stanzhikimi Road at kilometre 15. The kill site indicates the moose had been shot with a firearm and left to spoil.

Conservation officers investigated the area but could not find any evidence of who shot the moose.
