THUNDER BAY – Judith Monteith-Farrell is throwing her name into the NDP nomination ring in Thunder Bay-Atikokan.

She announced her bid on Tuesday, two weeks ahead of the scheduled March 27 nomination meeting.

Monteith-Farrell is seeking to replace former candidate John Rafferty, who was nominated last year, but dropped out, citing serious health concerns.

“I am confident that I have the back bone and knowledge to be the strong voice voice that Thunder Bay-Atikokan needs at Queen’s Park,” she said in a release.

The nomination meeting will be held at the West Thunder Community Centre.
