The Thunder Bay Police Service's Cyber Crime Unit has laid more charge in relation to search warrants that were executed on residences in the city on April 26, 2016.
37 year old James Brown, not to be confused with the local photographer and firefighter of the same name, turned himself into police after being advised that charges were pending as a result of the examination conducted on items seized in April. Brown has been charged with Possession and Distribute Child Pornography. He appeared in court and has been released with a future court date.
The TBPS Cyber Crime Unit continue to examine other items seized during this ongoing investigation.

Child Pornography Arrest
On April 26th, 2016, the Thunder Bay Police Cyber Crime Unit, as part of the Provincial Strategy Unit's annual project, executed three search warrants on residences in the city looking for child pornography.
The search of a Dawson Street residence resulted in the arrest of a 38 year old male and the seizure of a cell phone, iPad, laptop and two other computers. Kyle William Craig's was charged with Possession of Child Pornography. He was released with a future court date.
Two other residences were searched and require further investigation with the possibility of charges being laid in the future.
