THUNDER BAY -- A recent OPP blitz appears to show that area drivers are getting the message about seatbelts.
OPP officers from the Thunder Bay detachment of the force set up shop Thursday morning on the Thunder Bay Expressway at the on-ramp from Arthur Street.
Sgt. Ted Becker said people need to buckle up or face a fine, but the fines were few and far between during the Thursday blitz.
More than 60 vehicles passed through the enforcement blitz, and just one ticket was issued for non-compliance.
