Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital after crash with moose

Police temporarily closed a section of Highway 11 for more than an hour Monday afternoon after a man riding a motorcycle collided with a moose. Officials with the OPP say the man crashed into the moose while driving the motorcycle just after 1 p.m.

Police temporarily closed a section of Highway 11 for more than an hour Monday afternoon after a man riding a motorcycle collided with a moose.

Officials with the OPP say the man crashed into the moose while driving the motorcycle just after 1 p.m. near Kashabowie.

Police have not released the driver’s name or any details about his injuries.

The man was airlifted to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre following the crash
