Motorcyclist in Vickers Street accident has died

A 64-year-old Thunder Bay man has succumbed to his injuries after a collision at Vickers and Northern Avenue on Tuesday.

THUNDER BAY – A 64-year-old Thunder Bay man has died from his injuries after a collision in the intercity area earlier this week.

The man was the driver of a motorcycle that collided with a car at the intersection of Vickers Street and Northern Avenue shortly before 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

Two occupants of the other vehicle were taken to hospital with unknown injuries, but were soon released.

The Thunder Bay Police Service announced the man had been pronounced dead following the collision in a statement Friday. A police spokesperson could not confirm when that occurred.

An investigation into the collision remains ongoing, TBPS said.
