THUNDER BAY — Repair crews were dispatched Wednesday to restore power to well over 1,000 customers of Synergy North.
According to the utility's outage map, 950 customers were offline in the Mountain Road/Highway 61 area due to a weather-related failure.
The estimated restoration time was 4 p.m.
To the north, up to 200 customers were affected by a weather-related outage in the Government Road/Alice Avenue area.
The estimated restoration time was also 4 p.m.
Synergy North reported an earlier outage Wednesday affecting 125 customers on the 20th Side Road between Arthur Street and Otway Street, caused by a tree contacting power lines.
Hydro One was dealing Wednesday afternoon with several outages including one in the Kaministiquia area affecting nearly 300 customers.
Power was expected to be restored by early evening.
There were also two outages south of Thunder Bay – one in Neebing and one near the US border – both of which affected 20 customers or fewer.
Customers affected by small outages in the Lappe and Mokomon areas were expected to be back online by early evening.
