THUNDER BAY — All aboard.
A popular children’s ride at Centennial Park is back up and running.
City officials announced Friday that the Muskeg Express train will reopen on Saturday.
The ride has been out of service since June 2024, the latest derailment for the oft-shuttered attraction.
“We’re excited to be opening the Muskeg Express,” Cory Halvorsen the manager of parks and open spaces was quoted as saying in a media release. “Taking a ride on the Muskeg Express is memorable part of coming to Centennial Park for many families.”
The train is slated to run Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting, with the last rides at 3:50 p.m.
It will also be open on statutory holidays, including Canada Day.
