NAPS seizes marijuana in Cat Lake

CAT LAKE FIRST NATION -- The Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service has seized "several ounces" worth of marijuana and arrested a 20-year-old man for trafficking the drug in Cat Lake First Nation.

CAT LAKE FIRST NATION -- The Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service has seized "several ounces" worth of marijuana and arrested a 20-year-old man for trafficking the drug in Cat Lake First Nation. 

Police executed a search warrant for the man's home on Friday and found the cannabis, which NAPS said has a northern street value of $3,600.

NAPS also seized $2,800 in Canadian Currency.

He will appear in a Cat Lake court on Feb. 9, 2016.  

Cat Lake First Nation is located approximately 550 km northwest of Thunder Bay.
