NDTC-Thunder Bay skiers to compete in Europe

Skiers will take part in World Cup, world under-23 events.

THUNDER BAY – Three National Team Development Centre-Thunder Bay skiers are headed overseas to take part in international cross country events.

Pierre Grall-Johnson and Graham Ritichie, a pair of veteran skiers with the team, will compete in three World Cup events in Scandinavia, marking the third time they’ve represented the country at that level.

Shaylynn Lowen will represent Canada at the FIS World Ski Championships in Vuokattti, Finland, next month.

All three are vying for a spot on Team Canada at the 2021 World Ski Championships, scheduled to be held in Obertsdorf, Germany.

Additionally, NTDC alumni Katherine Stewart-Jones and Annika Richardson have been named to the World Cup and under-23 teams, respectively.
