Nearly $2 million injected into city transit via gas tax

THUNDER BAY -- Nearly $2 million in public transit funding has been released to three communities in Northwestern Ontario. The annual funding was announced by MPPs Michael Gravelle and Bill Mauro Thursday.

THUNDER BAY -- Nearly $2 million in public transit funding has been released to three communities in Northwestern Ontario.

The annual funding was announced by MPPs Michael Gravelle and Bill Mauro Thursday. 

The Ontario gas tax funding is targeted at public transit improvements.

Thunder Bay is set to receive just more than $1.9 million.

Schreiber and Terrace Bay will receive about $21,009, while Greenstone will receive just less than $8,000.
