The Neebing Fire Station remains on lockdown a week after dangerous amounts of mould were discovered inside the building.
The mould was uncovered during a routine inspection last Wednesday. The building was evacuated immediately as it may have posed a major health risk to firefighters.
Fire crews from the station have since moved into the James Street Fire Hall. Deputy Fire Chief Greg Hankkio says it is too soon to tell how much damage has been done by the mould or what the future of the Neebing station will be.
Hankkio says they have found a new temporary location to operate out of in Neebing.
He says they will announce where the new location is once crews are moved in.
