THUNDER BAY -- Motorists along the Thunder Bay Expressway can expect more delays this week as construction continues on the Neebing River Bridge.
The Ministry of Transportation is advising that there will be several short intermittent closures of the highway, between 10:00 a.m. Wednesday morning and 6 a.m. Thursday.
The highway will be shut down between Arthur Street and the Harbour Expressway, with the closures lasting for approximately 15 minutes at a time.
These intermittent closures were initially scheduled to begin this evening, but had to be pushed back a couple days.
Bridge work along the east side of the roadway is nearing completion and construction will now shift to the West side.
According to the MTO, the bridge remains on track to be finished in the late fall at least a month behind the original schedule.
