New COVID-19 case announced

THUNDER BAY - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit has announced a new confirmed case of COVID-19, bringing the district total to 76. 58 of those cases are considered resolved, while 17 remain active. There has been one death from the virus.

THUNDER BAY - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit has announced a new confirmed case of COVID-19, bringing the district total to 76.

58 of those cases are considered resolved, while 17 remain active. There has been one death from the virus.

The newest cases involves a woman in her 60s living in Thunder Bay or the surrounding area. The health unit has not determined how the woman was exposed to the virus. She is now self-isolating at home.

The health unit reports it has conducted 4,925 COVID-19 tests as of Monday evening, with 4,850 returned negative.
