New COVID-19 case brings total in region to 91

The latest cases is a woman in her 80s who is self-isolating.

THUNDER BAY – A single confirmed case of COVID-19 was revealed on Thursday by the Thunder Bay District Health Unit.

According to a release, the case involved a female in her 80s. The exposure category is listed as pending and she is self-isolating.

This case brings the total number of COVID-19 cases in the Thunder Bay district to 91. There is one active case, with 88 deemed resolved and one that has resulted in a death.

The public is reminded to continue to practice all public health guidelines, including regular hand washing and practicing social distancing.
