THUNDER BAY - Thunder Bay's newest confirmed case of COVID-19 involves a Thunder Bay-area man in his 50s. The man was admitted to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre Tuesday with symptoms of the virus.
It's the district's 83rd case, with all but three of those considered resolved. All three active cases have been hospitalized. As of Tuesday at 10 a.m., none had been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit.
The health unit has not yet determined the cause of exposure. The episode date, which corresponds to the earliest date of symptom onset, testing, or reporting, is June 2, the same day the case was announced and admitted to hospital.
