THUNDER BAY - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit reported a new confirmed case of COVID-19 Saturday morning. It's currently the only known active case in the district.
The newest case involves a Thunder Bay-area woman in her 30s, now self-isolating. The health unit lists the woman's episode date - the earliest date at which a person experiences symptoms, gets tested, or has results reported - as July 19.
Public health authorities had not yet determined how the woman was exposed to the virus.
It's the district's 94th confirmed case, and the first reported since July 18. Of those, 92 are considered resolved, while one man died from the virus in April.
