THUNDER BAY -- The Thunder Bay District Health Unit says another case of COVID-19 has been detected in the area.

On Friday, the health unit announced the 118th case since the pandemic hit, a person who is self-isolating and listed as living in Thunder Bay and surrounding area.

The health unit no longer supplies gender or age information about cases, although that information does eventually get posted to the province's COVID-19 database.

The episode date is listed at Nov. 3.

Of the 118 cases, 117 have been considered resolved, with one death included in that total. The latest case is the only active one in the district.

There have been a total of 65,053 tests for COVID-19 done by the TBDHU, with 64,936 coming back negative.
