New COVID-19 case reported in district

The case is the 107th positive test for COVID-19 in the district and brings the total number of current active cases to three

THUNDER BAY - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is reporting a new positive case of COVID-19 in the district. 

According to the health unit, the case episode date is listed as Sept. 22 and the individual is self-isolating. The exposure category is listed as pending.

This is the 107th positive COVID-19 case and there are now three active cases in the district.

The provincial government recently stated Ontario is experiencing a second-wave of COVID-19, with cases surging in parts of Southern Ontario.

People are advised to continue to practice all public health guidelines, including physical distancing and wearing a mask when in public indoor spaces.
