New COVID-19 case Thunder Bay's first in 10 days

THUNDER BAY - The Thunder Bay District Health Unit has announced a new confirmed case of COVID-19, the district's first since May 20. The case involves a Thunder Bay-area man in his 70s, who is now in hospital.

There have now been 82 total cases in the Thunder Bay district. All but two of those are now considered resolved.

The past month has seen a slowdown in new cases, with twelve announced since the beginning of May. Half of those have an episode date - when symptoms were first reported, or when tests were performed - reaching back into April.
