KENORA, Ont. — The Northwestern Health Unit reports three new positive COVID-19 test results in the Kenora region.
In an announcement Wednesday afternoon, the NWHU released few details, as per its usual practice, but said follow-up with the persons involved and their contacts has started.
Any individuals identified as contacts will hear from the health unit directly.
According to information posted on the NWHU's website, reflecting data that was extracted on Tuesday, there are seven active or probable COVID-19 cases in its jurisdiction, including three in Kenora and four in the Sioux Lookout region.
In the jurisdiction of the Thunder Bay District Health Unit, one new COVID-19 case was reported Wednesday, and the total number of active cases in the city and district is 23.
