KENORA — The Northwestern Health Unit reports two new positive COVID-19 test results in its catchment area.
In an announcement Tuesday morning, it said both cases are in the Dryden/Red Lake region.
The health unit said appropriate followup with the individuals and their contacts is being conducted under the protocol
Anyone who is identified as a contact with either person will be contacted directly.
The Northwestern Health Unit has recorded 73 confirmed COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began, plus two probable cases.
As of Tuesday, there were four active cases in its jurisdiction, including two in the Kenora region.
In the area served by the Thunder Bay District Health Unit, so far there have been 115 confirmed COVID-19 cases, of which four are still active.
