THUNDER BAY -- The Mazinaajim Children’s Foundation has announced a new event for the end of this month, which will help children and youth achieve their dreams.
It's a superhero and princess themed fundraising event aimed at making kids feel invincible and as if they can achieve anything.
Princesses and superheroes are whom many children idolize most at an age where everything feels possible.
Dare to Dream Day hopes to capitalize on that, to raise money that will go to educational, recreational, cultural and leadership opportunities for children and youth in this region of Northern Ontario.
Mazinaajim Children’s Foundation president Tana-Leigh Harty said the foundation’s vision is to have a future where all children have the opportunity to grow, develop and become healthy community members.
“This event is about fundraising for children and youth to be able to achieve their dreams,” Harty said.
“The proceeds from this event will stay in Ontario and it will help benefit youth in the region to achieve what they want to be and what they want to do the most.”
This will be the first year for Dare to Dream Day and organizers hope it will turn into an annual event.
Tickets are now on sale and it's scheduled for April 29 at the Victoria Inn.
