New outbreak declared at Hogarth Riverview Manor

Gastrointestinal illness affects 5th floor resident area.

THUNDER BAY — The Thunder Bay District Health Unit and Hogarth Riverview Manor have declared an outbreak of a gastrointestinal illness in one wing of the Lillie Street nursing home.

The outbreak affects 5 South, the Orchid resident area.

Admissions, transfers, discharges and social activities are cancelled until further notice.

Restrictions also remain in place at Hogarth Riverview Manor's 7 North and 7 South (Trillium and Violet resident areas) where an outbreak of respiratory illness was declared on Dec. 20.
