THUNDER BAY -- Nine local businesses were recognized for their achievements in promoting cycling in the workplace.
The Bike Friendly Business Awards Gala was held at the Breakwater Taphouse last week. The event celebrates the many businesses in the city that have made efforts in encouraging employees and-or customers to cycle.
Businesses are recognized at four designation levels -- bronze, silver, gold and platinum.
Eco Superior was one of the three organizations in the province to win a gold designation
Three Silver designations went to Lakehead University, The Thunder Bay District Health Unit and Shout Media.
