NIPIGON – A 37-year-old Nipigon resident is facing impaired driving charges following to separate early morning traffic complaints.
According to an Ontario Provincial Police release, officers were called to respond to a report on Friday, Sept. 10 of an impaired driver in the Township of Nipigon.
Police located the vehicle and the driver was found to have a blood alcohol concentration above the legal limit.
Police say the driver, a 37-year-old Nipigon man was arrested and charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus.
The accused has been released on an appearance notice, and will appear in the Nipigon Ontario Court of Justice on Nov. 30 to answer to these charges.
