No charges in car crash involving pedestrian: Police

City police officers say no charges will be laid in connection with a car and pedestrian collision that took place Wednesday evening. The incident was reported around 6 p.m. on Cumberland Street, near the Marina Park overpass.

The incident was reported around 6 p.m. on Cumberland Street, near the Marina Park overpass. 

Officials with the Thunder Bay Police Service say a group of five people was waiting to cross the road, when one of them suddenly ran onto the roadway and was struck by a vehicle travelling south-bound. 

A 33-year-old woman was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

Police say the woman appeared to be intoxicated at the time of the incident.
